In this meeting , the EABH will explore a better understanding of what is actually available in financial institutions' archives, and to identify promising areas for future research or action. The objective is to look at what is new about inflation. Can historical instances of inflation provide tools for a better understanding of modern developments? Should present day monetary authorities and decision takers be aware of these lessons as they cope with the challenges for the global economy?
